Art Therapy
Art Therapy is always an invitation, not a requirement.
Rather than relying solely on words, art therapy invites you to use image, color, mark-making, and material as a different kind of language — one that can reach places words sometimes can't.
If you are interested and if appropriate, I may invite you to use creative expression not to create something beautiful but to witness something true.
Different art therapy interventions support you in gaining insight into aspects of self, relationships, wounds, behaviors, and more. Creative expression is collaborative, meaning how often you make artwork in session or what type of materials you use is something that we get to decide together, based on your needs and interests.
No prior experience, artistic skill, or self-identifying as "creative" is needed or expected. What matters is curiosity and a willingness to see what unfolds.
For virtual art therapy, all you need is a private space, a reliable device, and some basic materials. If you are interested in art therapy, we can talk through what to have on hand during your consultation. Whether we're in the same room or on opposite sides of a screen, the process remains the same: art therapy is not about the final product, but about what the act of creating shows us along the way.
